Bloom! was founded by Marilyn and Nadine who have clocked up over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. Having worked for many years for some of Malta’s leading hotels gave them a strong experience in event planning and organization so they decided to put their knowledge and expertise to good use and set up their own business focused on a more personal approach. Bloom! would be a new kind of DMC in Malta: a destination management company devoted 24/7 to the organisation of your event and accommodation from A to Z.
Studied languages and has lived and worked in the US and Cyprus where she worked in the local tourism industry. Worked for CHI Hotels & Resorts for 15 years in corporate sales. Specialised in business travel and managing key accounts for leading local and international companies including HSBC Malta, the European Commission and airlines such as Lufthansa, Alitalia, Emirates and Easyjet. Marilyn has organised client events and PR and marketing activities including a 5,000-participant event for IBM. In-depth knowledge of hotel operational issues.
Studied hotel management at the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta and has lived and worked in London and Malta. Started her career at the iconic Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge, London, belonging to the Savoy Group, before returning to Malta to join the Island Hotels Group, operators of Radisson BLU. In 1994 she joined CHI Hotels & Resorts where she worked for 17 years in operations, sales, marketing and event management as well as assisting with corporate programmes in Portugal, Tripoli, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Most recently, she was regional director of sales and marketing for three leading five-star hotels in Malta: Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay and Marina Hotel.
